Not sure this is the metro system of a world-class city but its the proposed rail network in Kuching, Sarawak.
The network will serve a population of one million and the Kuching Urban Transport Study has identified three of the total six lines for immediate implementation.
Following are the details of the first 3 lines:
Line One: Kota Samarahan to Sungai Batu and to Damai. 62.4km in length with 28 stations.
Line Two: Serian to Muara Tebas in Senari. 82.0km in length with 26 stations.
Line Three: Kuching Centre. 10.8km in length with 13 stations.
The LRT trains will be powered by hydrogen fuel cells and it is expected to complete by 2024 then.
